Culminating activity Part 2

A Culminating Text of Your Choice:
Many of you have chosen your culminating activity. Below is a checklist in order to receive a well-deserved grade.
  1. A soundtrack to accompany Arnold’s diary. What would he have been listening to? Compile a list (or create an actual CD), and create a CD jewel case cover for the soundtrack. 
CHECKLIST:
a. A list of song titles you think Arnold/Junior would listen on his iPod/device.
b. An explanation for each song why he would listen to this particular song. 
Level 1: Please answer the question in 1 sentence.
Level 2: Please answer the question in 2 sentences.
Level 3: Please answer the question in 3 sentences.
c. A cover for the album with a creative title.
  1. A final drawing of Arnold. If he were to draw himself one more time at the end of the novel, what would it look like? Drawings should pay attention to detail. Choices like whether to use the cartoon style or not and whether to use color or not are left entirely up to the artist. 
CHECKLIST:
a. A BEFORE and AFTER drawing of Arnold/Junior.
b. Make sure it is colorful.
c. A explanation why Arnold/Junior has changed or stayed the same in your drawing.

d. Make sure your style of drawing stays the same. 
  1. A written diary entry. If Arnold re-read his diary a year later and reflected on it, what would he write? Create a journal entry where you write as Arnold’s character and talk about any changes that came about as a result of what happened at the end of the novel.

a. Summarize the tone and feeling Arnold experienced in the novel.
b. Think about how he would have changed in a year. Would he have a new girlfriend? Moved to another state? Have new friends? Etc..
c. You are encouraged to draw pictures just like Junior did in his novel.
d. Journal entry should be:

Level 3: Please answer the question in 7 sentences.
